Here is a letter that I sent out announcing my business. The BIGGEST regret I have is that I waited 4 - 1/2 years before I did this. That's a NO, NO! Announce your business right away! Don't pre-judge, just do it!

Dear Susan,
Thomas and I wanted to let you know more about our business and share some unique and fun things that will be happening for us. We’re very excited about this business venture and appreciate your willingness to learn more about what we’re doing.
We only want to share some details with you, in case you might know of anyone who might be in the market for what we offer, we would really value your referrals to our business.
We are with the company Scent-Sations, home of the Mia Bella Gourmet Candle and other products. You may have seen them around or have even experienced them. Just in case you have not, we offer a premium line of Vegetable Wax candles, which are a clean burning alternative to regular candles. With the environmental emphasis on “green”, we are a perfect fit in the marketplace. In other words, no black stuff on jars, walls or furniture and no toxins burning in the home. We also have a soy based bath and body line.
Before Thomas came home from his deployment in 2004, I had been looking for a way to earn an income from home in my own business. I had finally found something that is a great fit for me and have enjoyed it ever since.
Over the time that Thomas was deployed in Iraq, I used the Internet, fairs, vendor shows, a few parties and retailing out and about to create a monthly income so I didn't need to get a job outside of the home. We decided that we needed to close the chapter of our lives in foster care while he was gone, and that my business would be the extra income we needed.
The only regret that I have is that I didn't share this with more of our friends and family sooner.
While Thomas was gone my business kept my mind occupied and that was a good thing. I became a 10K Diamond Distributor, Top Sponsor, coached hundreds of people throughout the US with their own Mia Bella business and built a great relationship with the company and leaders. Thomas and I currently are one of the recipients of the 2008 Rising Star Award also.
We are also partners with two incredible people in our community, Dawn Rohlik and Vicki Irlbeck. So, please let them know too if there is anyone you can refer to them for product or business.
Now, for the really good stuff…
Thomas has been working on his life long dream of remodeling his barn that has been sitting idol since we no longer raise animals. Some of you might remember when we had volleyball parties in the hay mound about 25 years ago, that was a blast! If you know him at all, this will be a lot of fun for everyone involved!
We are taking it a step further too! It will be our opportunity and training center for our distributor team members here in Minnesota which will provide comradery and fun. Monday nights will be for business and fun and other times for just plain fun!
You know a lot of people and we’re looking for people who –

Love hosting or attending home, office parties or doing catalog parties.
Are looking for employee, or client gifts.
Know kids or others involved in sports or any type of fundraising.
Would love to also have a business from home.
